Delcam CRISPIN (Birmingham, UK) added to its range of design and manufacturing software for the footwear industry with the launch of new products. The company supplies a complete solution for the design and manufacture of both uppers and soles.
New to the company is TechPac, a 2D system that can be used to generate technical packages to be supplied to manufacturing partners by footwear designers. With TechPac, designers can specify what manufacturing processes should be used, plus the processes to be used at all stages of production.
Pre-defined templates that identify the path are modifiable during the flow of manufacturing data. The user can change specific requirements of the design or project during this period of production. Delcam CRISPIN design software such as 2D part geometry, models and images can be imported into the documentation.
The latest release of the 3D upper design module, ShoeDesign, offers a range of options to develop new designs, employing a wide range of materials, textures and colors, and making it possible to add features like stitching, padding, eyelets and laces to the design.
LastMaker software for last design has been upgraded in ease of use, for both the creation of standard lasts as well as creation of bespoke designs. Added to the new release are improved creation and editing tools for cross sections as well as improved profile line editing. 2D Engineer package has also gained added functionality that allows Edge Templates to be appended to a part boundary, as well as enhancements to speed up the software and make it easier to use.
