Creaform (Quebec City,Canada) has integrated AICON’s photogrammetry into their new hand scanner, MAXscan. Built in to the MAXscan, the scanner now offers high data accuracy in 3D scanning large parts, which in the past have suffered from precision in measuring. With MAXscan, the position of the object is calculated in a 3D coordinate system with the use of 3D reference points, provided by the AICON photogrammetry. The points enable scans to be precisely fitted. Fully automatic processing of scanning and photogrammetry data completes the procedure, and prevents inaccuracies.
