Capture 3D Announces GOM Inspect

Capture 3Dhas announced GOM’s latest free software release titled GOM Inspect.   GOM Inspect allows users to import scan data from various types of measuring systems with an array of point cloud and inspection functionalities.  

It features mesh processing, CAD import (IGES, STEP, JT-Open, and more), alignments, comparisons, CAD-based primitive generation, 2D section analysis, GD&T analysis, reporting and other inspection features.  

This company says the software is free to use and results can be shared among departments, vendors, and/or with customers.
