Fishbowl Solutions, Inc. (Minneapolis, MN) recently announced the release and immediate availability of CADVerify, which automates the task of ensuring the integrity of the data in CAD databases.
The power of associative solid modeling allows users to make changes that update across all deliverables. While a simple change to a part may work in the current assembly, it may have adversely impacted many other assemblies where that part is used. This scenario creates invalid CAD data.
The company posits that engineers spend a significant amount of time anywhere from 5 to 20% dealing with the problem of invalid CAD data. CADVerify addresses this problem by providing an automated, systematic process of verifying the integrity of companies’ 3D CAD data.
When CADVerify identifies that a component has changed, it identifies each assembly that uses the component. Next, CADVerify opens each assembly to ensure it is still functional. If an assembly has problems, CADVerify captures this information and returns it in detailed reports.
CADVerify benefits also include support for Wildfire 3.0. and a “CAD Worker” model that allows companies to disperse the verification workload across multiple systems.
