Fortus, a brand of Stratasys, Inc. announced that C.ideas, U.S. FDM service bureau, purchased two additional Maxum 3D Production Systems, which brings the company total to 17 FDM based systems.
Seven of these systems are Maxums.
FDM-based Fortus 3D Production Systems are designed to enable designers and manufacturers to build thermoplastic parts with accuracy and durability. Fortus systems produce parts directly from CAD files that can be used for conceptual models, functional prototypes, manufacturing tools, or end-use parts.
The Direct digital manufacturing (DDM) process of manufacturing parts is an efficient way to accomplish low-volume manufacturing and build spare parts on demand.
