Avantstar, Inc., a provider of desktop-file-viewing, content conversion and web content management software, has announced that its newly enhanced file-viewing software, Quick View Plus Version 11 Standard Edition, supports Windows 7 (32-bit version), Office 2010, and additional file formats and applications.
New features and capabilities in Quick View Plus 11 Standard Edition include:
- Support for Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit version).
- Support for Microsoft Office 2010 file formats (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- New and expanded file format support, including: Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint); IBM Lotus Symphony 1.2; Lotus Notes DXL, PDF 1.7, AutoCAD 2005, 2006 and 2007 (with limitations); RAR and JAR files.
- Ability to view .PST and .OST files over 2GB.
- Support for Microsoft Office 2007 charts.
- Support for Adobe Acrobat 9.
- Support for Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 and Mozilla Firefox 3.5.
In addition to expanding support for additional file types, Quick View Plus 11 Standard Edition is closely aligned with Windows and Microsoft Outlook. New capabilities include:
- Ability to view files directly in the Preview Pane within Windows Explorer for Microsoft Windows 7 and Vista users.
- Direct viewing of attachments within Microsoft Outlook 2007.
In addition to Quick View Plus 11 Standard Edition, Avantstar is also offering a Professional Edition for the first time. Quick View Plus 11 Professional Edition provides larger enterprises, government agencies, and law firms with capabilities such as metadata view, advanced search, Microsoft Project Gantt chart view, and the ability to integrate with third-party applications.
Pricing for Quick View Plus 11 Standard Edition begins at $49 per user with volume discounts available. Quick View Plus 11 Professional Edition pricing begins at $495 (which includes a five-user license) with volume discounts available.
