Advantech Launches Intel XScale Touch Panel Computer

The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech (Cincinnati, OH) introduces the Intel XScale Touch Panel Computer (the TPC-68T), a 5.6-in. QVGA TFT LCD touch panel computer with an Intel XScale PXA270 416MHz CPU and CAN-Bus 2.0B protocol capability.

The TPC-68T has a 10/100Base-T Ethernet port offering solid communication ability and Windows CE OS that supports Thin-Client solutions as well as provides an open HMI solution for system integration.

Other features include fanless cooling system, 64 MB SDRAM, one CompactFlash slot,  one RS-232, and one RS-485 port with automatic data flow control.

The TPC-68T has a NEMA4/IP65-compliant front panel, plastic housing, and compact design;  price starts at $988.
