Roland DG Corporation (Hamamatsu,Japan), announced the AdvancedJET i series of grand-format inkjet printers which includes the 2641mm (104”) AJ-1000i and 1910mm (74”) AJ-740i. Roland Intelligent Pass Control technology which optimizes image quality and productivity and EcoXtreme i ink formulated to reduce odor are among the AdvancedJET I series features.
Roland Intelligent Pass Control is responsible for producing vivid and solid images for both indoor and outdoor graphics, offering smoother gradations and almost no banding. Company materials suggest that the AdvancedJET i series is also up to 25% more efficient for banner printing in standard print mode.
The addition of EcoXtreme I ink brings excellent color density, wide gamut and durability of up to three years outdoors while at the same time reducing ink odor. This solution is especially useful for billboards, as the EcoXtreme inks have excellent bonding with uncoated banner substrates and tarpaulin, and have enhanced scratch and alcohol resistance to withstand outdoor influences.
The AdvancedJET i Series also comes with VersaWorks, Roland’s RIP software expressly for signmaking professionals.
