A1 Technologies is offering a 3D haptic application, which it says delivers an immersive 3D experience to its users.
A1 Technologies’ Chameleon package combines 3D modeling software with a touch-enabling (haptic) device. It enables modeling and construction of 3D objects, particularly free-form shapes, within the software. When complete, the models can be directly 3D printed.
Chameleon incorporates Anarkik3D’s Cloud9 software, which is a 3D sketch/modeling software suite. Chameleon uses new touch-enabling technology to replace the traditional 2D mouse. This haptic device is Novint’s Falcon, which the company says provides users with a more natural interaction within three-dimensional virtual space and allows more intuitive working. Once models are complete on the computer, they can be directly printed on A1’s RapMan 3D printer.
