Zuken, a provider of electrical design software, has released the latest version of E3.series. This release has an enhanced E3.HarnessAnalyzer, as well as a host of usability and productivity upgrades, the company states.
For productivity, the new E3.series has capabilities for sorting options in ascending/descending order, or grouped by option packages. Additionally, the platform has automatic signal name generation based on sheet and grid location and improvements to core management.
The E3.HarnessAnalyzer now has a new collaboration tool for viewing and analyzing harness drawings in the HCV format. This release links the graphical view and the physical data model together and checks for bundle size, wire routing, weight and cost.
Also added is a new transparency functionality that makes working with complex 3D assembly much easier, a press release states. With this feature, users can make objects transparent or visible with a single click.
“The intelligence contained in the database of E3.series has helped reduce design time to about one-third of that required in the past. These time savings have made it possible for us to bid on more complex systems without concern that the electrical design could not be completed within the project deadline,” said Joe Geisinger, CTO, ARM Automation.
