Z Corporation (Orlando, FL), a manufacturer of high-definition 3Dprinters, has introduced the Spectrum Z510 3D Printing System, said to be thefirst high-definition color 3D printer on the market. The system, whichwas unveiled at SolidWorks World earlier this week, will shipduring the first quarter of 2005.
The Spectrum Z510 introduces HD3DP (high-definition 3D printing)for rapid prototyping to designers, engineers, and product developers. The systemsupports 600 X 540 dpi (dots per inch) print-head resolution, largebuild sizes (254 mm X 356 mm X 203 mm, 10 in. X 14 in. X 8 in),improved surface finish, smaller feature resolution, and low operatingcosts. Color capabilities allow for better representation ofassemblies, enhanced texture mapping, and vibrant productcoloring. The system’s software also enables labeling forimproved communication of designs.
The introduction of the Spectrum Z510 System expands the Z Corp.product line, which includes the entry-level ZPrinter 310 System andthe Z810 Large-Format System. The addition of color HD3DPcapabilities to the product line provides customers with a completerange of options for meeting their rapid prototyping and 3D printingneeds.
Pricing (MSRP): $49,900 in the US.
