Vizup announced a new 64-bit version of the Vizup SDK. Built on a scalable 64-bit platform, the new Vizup SDK allows the reduction of polygonal models with billions of triangles by up to 99% while preserving the visualization quality along with minimum geometry degradation, the company says.
“We see an increasing interest in Vizup optimization technology from geomatics and virtual reality application developers along with 3D scanner and LiDAR users and manufacturers. Our new 64-bit SDK version will help our customers bring humongous geo-spatial models with billions of triangles back under control,” said Alexander Kogan, CEO, Vizup.
The solution includes one-step “Instant LOD chain” generation; a lean optimization mode for models over 1B polygons; advanced support for visual attributes and non-continuous textures; model topology repair, normal reconstructions and refinement; and a straightforward C++ API with detailed usage examples.
Vizup SDK 64-bit version is currently available for Windows. Versions for Linux and OS X are in the works.
