ESTECO makes available the 2018 Winter release of VOLTA and modeFRONTIER. With the latest update, ESTECO introduces the VOLTA Advisor app, calling it a new Engineering Data Intelligence experience. modeFRONTIER sees new capabilities for building workflows on the fly. Other Release 2018 Winter features and improvements highlighted by the company include a new integration node for coupling optical design software and a 3D RSM (response surface methods) model view in VOLTA.
The VOLTA web platform provides for multidisciplinary business process optimization and simulation data management. Its new VOLTA Advisor app delivers the ability to add visualization to raw data and make better use of post-processing tools, says ESTECO. This, the company adds, can help engineers make better informed decisions. Further, a new interactive RSM Viewer tool allows users to visualize the shape of an RSM model and assess its predictive ability with a 3D Surface chart.
ESTECO explains that when analyzing data with VOLTA's new capabilities, users can now visualize the data using different tools simultaneously. With the new VOLTA Advisor app users can analyze datasets and session data using multiple synchronized post-processing tools called widgets side by side. This can help users gain additional contextual information and deeper insights by making efficient use of all available data, the company adds.
The VOLTA Release 2018 Winter's VOLTA REST APIs (application programming interfaces) are said to enhance the user's ability to take advantage of simulation data as well as improve the interaction of content from an external system and real-time retrieval of data. ESTECO says that its first endpoints give users quick, secure access to individual user and/or team data as well as facilitate the deployment of release management.
The modeFRONTIER solution focuses on engineering design process automation and optimization. The system's suite of RSM algorithms now incorporates machine learning technology with the integration of the H2O.ai library of open-source software for big-data analysis. This state-of-the-art machine learning platform, ESTECO says, supports the statistical and machine learning algorithms in modeFRONTIER. Additionally, a new all-in-one node RSM node now accepts as many RSM models as required and users can load them simultaneously from the file system, design space and VOLTA.
Beginning with the 2018 Winter release, modeFRONTIER users can now jump directly to optimizing design workflow building on the fly. Additionally, users can drop a model file on the workflow canvas or in the Home page panel, select the variables and modeFRONTIER will create a fully functioning workflow automatically. This modeFRONTIER release also sees a new direct integration node that couples it with Zemax's OpticStudio design software for creating optical, illumination and laser systems.
