Future-ready cloud platform designed to support the 3D printing workflow.

Ultimaker announced at TCT ASIA the launch of Ultimaker Cloud. Ultimaker Cloud is a future-ready platform that supports the professional 3D printing workflow. The first cloud services that are offered are remote 3D printing, unlimited access to the Marketplace, Marketplace ratings and the possibility to back up user settings for remote access. Ultimaker Cloud will be available March 19, 2019, together with Ultimaker Cura 4.0, which features an updated user interface.

The open strategy of Ultimaker enables key industry partners, such as CAD providers and material manufacturers, to integrate with Ultimaker Cloud.

Ultimaker Cloud now offers:

  • Backups: Ideal user settings are kept available in the cloud, and can be retrieved at any location, on any computer.
  • Marketplace: Exclusive access to print profiles configured by material providers from leading brands. Registered users can browse the Marketplace, choose the ideal material for an application, and optimized settings for the best results are automatically populated in Ultimaker Cura.
  • Marketplace ratings: Users can offer useful feedback to plugin contributors and the community by rating their experience with the plugins they have used.
  • Remote printing: Print jobs can be sent to network-enabled Ultimaker printers from anywhere in the world, as well as monitored so that users can stay informed of processes.

“Ultimaker Cloud forms the foundation for future value propositions provided by Ultimaker and key industry partners,” says Jos Burger, CEO at Ultimaker. “This is a crucial next step in our journey to speed up the world’s transition to local digital manufacturing. I have no doubt that our enabling platform, formed with our global network of software and material partners, makes Ultimaker the preferred solution in the desktop space.”

Availability

Ultimaker Cloud will be available at the same time of the launch of Ultimaker Cura 4.0 on March 19, 2019.
