TopSolid, in collaboration with Sandvik Coromant, has added the tool library system Adveon to the release of Top Solid 7.
The library provides a database of tools to be built and accessed automatically into 3D CAD models for precise simulation and visualization, minimizing manual entry and consistent data is assured, the company states. Adveon is also based on the ISO 13399 standard and gives users the options to build custom libraries, and customers have seen a productivity increase of 20-30%, the company states.
TopSolid also has integrated product data management for machined part and cutting tool lifecycles.
“Pressure to reduce time from design to production combined with the ever-increasing complexity of tools makes rapid access to accurate and current tool data more critical than ever,” said Klas Forsstrom, president of Sandvik Coromant. “Companies can no longer afford to rely on manual data entry and operators need a single tool library that can manage tools from multiple manufacturers. Adveon has been designed from the ‘ground up’ to address these challenges and we are pleased that Top Solid software has integrated the tool library system.”
