ThermoAnalytics has released version 11.3 of RadTherm, RadThermIR, MuSES and PowerTHERM. Upgrades included in this release focus on graphics, fluid streams, thermal reports, phase change materials and more.
A new Graphics Rendering Engine is now available. Performance for this feature has increased by 10-100 times for most window renderings, the company states. Algorithm enhancements includes accuracy updates with gradient contours and more color options.
Major enhancements have been made to Fluid Streams in this release. A new fluid stream algorithm improves the centering and quality of fluid stream generation. users can now also generate paths through complex geometry while having the option to cancel the generation if it fails.
Phase Change materials are now supported with an optimized multi-grid solver. This new feature enables advanced heat transfer applications, including encapsulated phase change materials. It is also able to simulate freezing and melting and be applied to defrosting and urea melting.
Thermal reports now automatically save as an HTML5 webpage for viewing all images, animations plots and results. A new GUI (graphical user interface) has been created to set up thermal reports.
The post processing capabilities have several major updates, including the new Zoom and Max mode, which automatically zooms and centers to view the maximum temperature based on the selected parts or elements. A new dynamic feature can handle large model post processing. Users can now also directly time or step values. The MergeFile tool has been added, which can join results of multiple files that have been created through transient restart or initialization.
Other features in version 11.3 include battery model and solar lamp enhancements, view factors and CAE coupling.
