Theorem Solutions, FEI Visualization Sciences Partner for Data Exchange Platform

DXN enables users to understand what files they have received, translated, in isolation of the source data application.

Theorem Solutions and FEI Visualization Sciences have formed a partnership that has helped with the re-development and relaunch of Theorem’s Data Exchange Navigator (DXN) with FEI’s Open Inventor 3D software development toolkit, a company press release states.

Theorem’s DXN enables users to understand what files they have received, translated, in isolation of the source data application. This data filtering element makes it an ideal decision support tool for data exchange and collaboration. Users can view and interrogate CAD designs and STEP models.

Additional projects between the companies are already in development, including incorporating data rendering and remote 3D visualization technologies from Open Inventor.

“Partnering with FEI has enabled Theorem to increase the capability of their 3D visualization, rendering and data filtering capabilities. Additionally, from the use of the Open Inventor toolkit stems a new Graphical User Interface that is being rolled out with the latest releases of the CADverter product suite; giving the user a vastly improved and more interactive experience,” says Mark Stowe, chief technology officer at Theorem Solutions. “Theorem are extremely impressed with the support, training, implementation and ongoing help received from FEI Visualization Sciences Group in integrating Open Inventor into the Theorem portfolio of products and solutions for the CAD/CAM/CAE marketplace”.
