The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) recently announced Natalie Givans, senior vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, as the keynote speaker for the Society’s WE11 Annual Conference, Oct. 13-15 in Chicago. Givans leads cyber security and privacy for the firm’s Health market, and drives technology and overall offerings and solutions for the firm’s military accounts.
In her keynote address, Givans will share some of the lessons that have guided her on the path to achievement. Givans’ address will also discuss how women engineers might balance demands with rewards, and could provide insight for any woman who has ever struggled with identifying what she wants out of life.
In addition to her role at Booz Allen Hamilton, Givans is the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, where she has been a member for 25 years. She is also a member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Alumni Association Board of Directors, serving on the Finance Committee and establishing an ad hoc committee on Energy, Environment and Sustainability.
Givans holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from MIT.
