SYCODE Launches AutoProject, Point Cloud 1.0, & Plug-in for Rhino

The most recent of three launches made by SYCODE (Panaji, India) in October is AutoProject for AutoCAD, an automatic 3D to 2D projection plug-in for AutoCAD that can project 3D objects to the six standard orthographic views (top, bottom, front, back, right and left) as well as the eight standard isometric views. It works with AutoCAD 2000, 2000i, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. AutoProject for AutoCAD is priced at 195 Euro (US$277) per license.

SYCODE also launched Point Cloud 1.0, an affordable software solution for the reverse engineering industry. It can import a set of points (or a point cloud) from a text file and drape a NURBS surface over it or wrap a mesh around the points. The surface can be draped along the six orthogonal directions or by specifying a custom direction. There is also the facility to compensate for probe diameter, which is useful when the points have been recorded by a touch probe digitizer. A standalone application that is not dependent on any other software, Point Cloud 1.0 uses the OpenNURBS 3DM file format as its native format to store point, surface, and mesh data. It is priced at 295 Euro (US$419) per license.

SYCODE also launched its ACIS SAT file import plug-in for Rhinoceros. The product’s installer automatically registers the plug-ins file in Rhino and loads them when Rhino starts up. SAT Import for Rhino adds new commands to Rhino and a new submenu to the Rhino menu to house them. The plug-in is priced at 195 Euro (US$277) per license.

All three products are available for a fully functional 10-day/run trial, and come with detailed documentation in a compiled HTML help file to get started quickly.
