OPTIS (Toulon, France) has launched OPTISWORKS 2007, the latest versionof its light and optical simulation software. OPTIS, a SolidWorks GoldPartner, says that the new release offers interface improvementsdesigned to facilitate innovation, make the software more flexible touse, and save time. Other improvements are said to increase the levelof realism.
OPTISWORKS 2007 offers improvements to its light level analyzers,including conoscopic intensity, as well as its iso-level andiso-surfaces tools. A new, integrated color management system, and thesoftware’s compatibility with the new International Color Consortiumstandard lets you optimize and homogenize the display of colors overall output devices, both in print and on-screen. The latter is said toenable decisions to be made based on printed and on-screen colors forthe first time. OPTISWORKS 2007 is also aid to make defining lightsensors within a lighting system easier through numerous graphic userinterface improvements such as dedicated dialog boxes.
