Established in 2008, the Society for Manufacturing and Engineering (SME, Dearborn, MI) recognizes the Additive Manufacturing Industry by bestowing the RTAM/SME Industry Achievement Award on an individual, team, or company that has made a significant impact to the additive manufacturing industry, or another industry that has benefited from the application of additive manufacturing technologies.
The award recognizes achievements in a commercial industrial setting, and winners are chosen based upon the potential impact the organization foresees the work having on the industry as a whole. Last year’s winner was Prof. Dr. Gideon Levy, research director of Inspire AG Institute for Rapid Product Development.
Nominations are now open for this year’s RTAM/SME Industry Achievement Award. Deadline for Nominations is January 31, 2009.
