SME Showcases Medical Manufacturing at Mfg4 Event

SME’s Manufacturing for the Future (Mfg4) event will be hosted in Hartford, CT, May 6 to 8, 2014. This event features manufacturing professionals from aerospace, defense, medical and “micromanufacturing” industries.

The event gives professionals the opportunity to collaborate, network, gain knowledge and explore innovative applications and technologies, a press release from ThomasNet states.

Mfg4 is also co-located with both Medical Manufacturing Innovations and MicroManufacturing conferences. These two events, with more than 250 exhibitors, will offer a wide range of medical and bio-medical technologies that have diverse applications.

“Following selection and problem definition there exists a critical period where prototyping, testing, and capabilities determine the design intent,” said Christopher Kaye, vice president of research and technical innovation at U.S. Endoscopy. “By encouraging innovators to collaborate, we are able to recognize difficult problems from the start without compromising the final deliverable.”
