SimScale, a German software startup, announced the official release of its online platform (www.simscale.de) for engineering simulation. The SimScale platform enables scientists and engineers to run numerical analyses in a standard Web browser with in-browser 3D visualization, scalable on-demand computing capacity, and a pay-per-use pricing model.
The user can start utilizing the solution by uploading a CAD model, which is visualized in 3D. The platform provides a complete simulation workflow encompassing the preparation of the CAD model, mesh creation, simulation setup and solving as well as result visualization and post-processing. Its open design supports a variety of different analysis capabilities that are constantly enhanced, ranging from structural mechanics over fluid dynamics to thermodynamics, the company says. Since the actual computation is done in large computing centers on-demand, the user has access to scalable computing capacity at any time.
