Rightware Releases Kanzi 3.0

The platform is ideal for user interface creation in the automotive and embedded industries.

Rightware, a provider of user interface software solutions, has released Kanzi 3.0. The platform is a user interface design and engineering platform for the automotive and embedded industries. Kanzi, according to the company, combines a designer-oriented studio environment with a high-performance graphics engine and APIs (application programming interfaces) for application development.

Kanzi enables automotive Tier 1’s and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to create user interfaces that incorporate high-quality 2D and 3D graphics.

This release adds improvements to usability and enhanced prototyping features. New capabilities include partial rendering and page navigation. Version 3.0 also introduces updates that reduce CPU time on embedded hardware by up to 50%, the company states.

Additionally, the company will be holding public training sessions for Kanzi in Detroit and Munich starting in February.

“Kanzi 3.0 is a great step forward, making it a powerful solution for rapid prototyping in addition to its already proven mass production capabilities. This unique combination of features will enable the re-use of assets and work from early concept design phase all the way to mass-production. These improvements will result direct savings to Rightware customers and significantly shorten time to market. The new release will also give Rightware the opportunity to enter into new verticals where customers are looking for advanced [user interface] solutions,” said Jonas Geust, CEO, Rightware.
