Raise3D, provider of additive manufacturing solutions for SMEs (small and medium enterprises) and LSEs (large-scale enterprises), announces ideaMaker 4.2.0 Beta. This update connects ideaMaker with ideaMaker Library even more, and introduces Boolean operations.

The Library, live since May 2020, is an online platform that enables users to download optimized slicing profiles for Raise3D and third-party 3D printers and filaments, and different types of textures. It offers tools such as the profile generator, available to all users, that quickly and easily generates profiles in four simple steps.

With ideaMaker 4.2.0 Beta, users will be able to access the Library directly from ideaMaker and select, with a single click, the slicing profile that they wish to use, instead of downloading it from the Library and uploading it to ideaMaker as previously done.

The new Library functions can be found in ideaMaker under the windows: Configuration Wizard and Printer Settings.

New Features

Boolean Operations. This new feature allows users to create intersections, unions or subtractions of 3D models, and is available directly in ideaMaker, a free FFF slicing software. It enables experimentation without having to switch to 3D modeling software. Users can enable the feature via the Boolean button from the Tool Bar.

Search Tool Bar. This new feature improves the user experience by quickly locating parameters containing searched keywords. The search tool bar can be found under the Advanced Setting window.

Other new features and improvements of ideaMaker 4.2.0 Beta can be found in the release notes.
