Conferences are part of the lifeblood of commerce. They let customers met up with manufacturers, allow for networking and provide an arena to showcase newly developed products. That isn’t the sum total of what conferences have to offer, but it is the meat and potatoes. Here at Rapid Ready Tech, we try and provide useful information on additive manufacturing (AM) in general and conferences are part of that coverage.
amerimold, a tool, moldmaking, injection molding and additive manufacturing conference, will be held on June 13 and 14 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, MI. Featured presenters will include Harry Moser, founder, Reshoring Initiative; Mark Bringle, technical Sponsor and marketing director, Joe Gibbs Racing; Gary Jurick, vice president and general manager, ROUSH Performance Products; and Bill Wood, president, Mountaintop Economics.
The keynote presentations are always a highlight of amerimold. To be able to feature four presenters with the perspective and expertise of Harry, Mark, Bill and Gary is really exciting and will certainly bring added value and energy to this year’s show. –Christina Fuges, amerimold conference director
Mark Bringle will present the opening keynote, “Technology Driving Concept to Car,” which will follow Joe Gibbs Racing’s development cycle with a look at how concept is brought to life using CAE tools, Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), metrology and CNC machines.
The AM focus of the conference include topics such as the part AM is playing in bringing manufacturing back to the U.S. Panel members include business leaders who have been successful reshoring manufacturing jobs. Other sessions take a look at prototyping, using AM to quickly create tools, a look at the future of AM, and end-use AM products.
On a separate, but related note, you can look forward to meeting some of the Desktop Engineering crew at RAPID 2012 (Rapid Ready Tech coverage can be found here) at booth #341. I, personally, will also be wandering around RAPID, looking for stories, attending seminars and talking to folks. Feel free to say hi!
Below you’ll find a taste of what to expect at amerimold with a video of a 2011 session discussing direct metal laser sintering.
