PTC (Needham, MA) has announced the general availability of its new packaging strategies for its flagship Pro/ENGINEER 3D integrated CAD/CAM/CAE software system first discussed in February. The set of scalable packages are designed to meet the product development functionality needs of users regardless of whether their organization is large or small or globally distributed versus centrally located.
PTC’s new Pro/ENGINEER set embraces five packages, each addressing the distinct needs of increasing product development complexity. From the first package in the set up to the top, each package can be seamlessly upgrade with additional capabilities to keep up with increasing product development complexity. All packages build off the first package, Pro/ENGINEER Foundation XE.
Pro/ENGINEER Foundation XE, is designed for single users or small design shops with little or no need for collaboration. It includes 2D and 3D drawings, mechanism design and design animation, the ModelCHECK-QA-Tool, and a complete library of parts.
Pro/ENGINEER Advanced SE (Standard Edition) extends Pro/ENGINEER Foundation XE with hosted data management capabilities. With the Pro/ENGINEER Advanced XE package, you have your choice of a high-performance add-on design module and data management solutions enabling growing companies to control and manage information across product development teams.
Pro/ENGINEER Enterprise SE offers a set of high-performance design modules and data management solutions as well as collaboration and project management capabilities to connect the extended supply chain.
The top-of-the-line Pro/ENGINEER Enterprise XE delivers simulation and analysis, engineering calculations, enterprise visualization, and technical documentation authoring capabilities in addition to all the functionality in its sister packages.
The new packages of Pro/ENGINEER are available immediately. Per package pricing ranges from $4,995 to $24,995.
