Omnify Software Launches Empower 6.0

This release includes a new user interface, customer communication portal, product configuration module and workflow engine.

Omnify Software, a provider of PLM (product lifecycle management) platforms, has released the next generation of its Empower PLM software. Version 6.0 adds a new user interface, customer communication portal, product configuration module, workflow engine and several user-added enhancements.

The main upgrades in this release include:

  • Enhanced User Experience: The next-generation user interface has the latest browsers and has simplified field editing, a streamlined look across product module and enhanced navigation.
  • New Option Files/Themes: Version 6.0 adds customizable Option Files. This enables users to create custom user interfaces, menus and form options for specific job roles, departments and processes.
  • Cloud-based Communication Portal: This functionality provides in-application product updates and posts reports, themes and documents within an organization.
  • Product Configurator Module: With this capability, manufacturers can establish BOM (bill of material) configurations early in the prototype phase.

Additional tools in version 6.0 offer a workflow engine with dynamic stages, Training Management Module upgrades, expanded vendor management and flexible deployment options. The platform can be hosted on-site, off-site or via the Cloud.
