NVIDIA has announced the NVIDIA Quadro 400 graphics processing unit (GPU), a new professional graphics solution. Built for use with professional applications, such as Autodesk AutoCAD, the NVIDIA Quadro 400 GPU provides up to 10X improvement when running some CAD/CAM applications, according to the company.
Priced at $169, NVIDIA says the Quadro 400 GPU consumes less than 35 watts. It has 512MB of DDR3 memory, a 30-bit (10-bits per color) color engine with a range of over 1 billion color variations. Quadro 400 drivers are optimized and certified on many professional applications.
The GPU supports two active connectors, including dual-link DVI with up to 3840 x 2400 resolution at 24Hz on each panel, and DisplayPort (DP) with up to 2560 x 1600 resolution. The NVIDIA Quadro 400 processor also supports NVIDIA 3D Vision and 3D Vision Pro active shutter glasses 3D technology.
