AVEVA announced the release of AVEVA Bocad NC, a software product for steel fabricators that provides improved flexibility, management and control over numerical control (NC) deliverables. According to the company, it enables accurate generation and modification of NC data for steel process machines. It is used in production facilities for the fine tuning of NC data.

"AVEVA Bocad NC enables fabrication processes to be optimized for greater efficiency," said Bruce Douglas, senior vice president, EDS strategy and marketing, AVEVA. 'This latest addition to the AVEVA Bocad software suite further bridges the gap between design and fabrication to provide the most complete end-to-end solution that can save time and effort, and reduce costly rework."

Users can create new NC data files or make modifications to existing NC data files created by AVEVA Bocad Steel or other systems. Graphical representations of members dynamically adapt to new input in real time, immediately revealing any errors for prompt correction.
