Scientists and engineers now can take advantage of the high-level graphical programming paradigm of National Instruments(Austin, TX) LabVIEW software to save significant time prototyping anddeploying embedded applications to 32-bit microprocessors. The new NILabVIEW Embedded Development Module extends LabVIEW to any 32-bitembedded processor, providing scientists and engineers with a graphicalapproach to algorithm design, simulation, prototyping, and deploymentof custom designs for embedded systems.
With the LabVIEW Embedded Development Module, scientists and engineerscan design algorithms and program their applications using an intuitivegraphical dataflow language. In addition, LabVIEW graphical front panelcontrols and indicators help engineers interactively experiment anddebug their embedded code much more quickly than conventionalapproaches. The module includes more than 400 analysis functions forsignal processing, linear algebra, curve fitting, statistics, andcalculus.
In addition to out-of-the-box measurement functionality for integratingreal-world data early in the process, the module also features aframework for integrating I/O drivers and board support packages fortaking advantage of specific processors with LabVIEW. Scientists andengineers can develop their applications using the LabVIEW graphicalenvironment and then automatically generate C code to integrate withtheir chosen processor tool chains.
