Moxa Holds Global Distributor Summit

The conference focused on enabling the Industrial Internet of Things.

Moxa, a manufacturer of industrial networking, computing and automation solutions, held its Global Distributor Summit in San Francisco, CA. The organization hosted several speakers which discussed how to enable the Industrial Internet of Things.

The guest speakers who presented at the conference were:

  • Richard Soley, executive director of the Industrial Internet Consortium, keynoted the conference and talked about the challenges and opportunities of true interoperability in the industrial sector.
  • Randy Iwasaki, executive director of the Contra Costa Transportation Authority, explained how communications technology is driving improvements in safety and traffic congestion.
  • Krishna Srinivasan, global president and managing parnter at Frost & Sullivan, presented Moxa with an award for Customer Value Leadership in Industrial Communications.
Attendees were able to see examples of successful implementations of Industrial IoT-related communications infrastructure, including a remote wellhead surveillance solution for the gas and oil industries. Moxa also showcased successful deployments for mission-critical applications on the International Space Station, the High Roller observation wheel in Las Vegas and the Caldecott Tunnel in California.
