Designed with WINDFORM material and rapid manufacturing technology, the new dashboard for the 125GP Honda racing motorbikes from CRP Technology’s (Modena, Italy) CRP Racing division, makes its debut.
According to the company, a new support was necessary, in order to change the positioning of the exhaust servo motor. The new Windform XT dashboard made with SLS is an all-in-one ECU, DATALOGGER and DASHBOARD box. The fairing support had to be modular so that it could facilitate an easy substitution in the event of a crash.
Other requirements of the dashboard support are that it be waterproof, be able to handle vibrations, crashes and variable temperatures. The component needed to be rigid to protect the internal fragile components. Its shape is also optimized to fit the small space inside the upper fairing and to accommodate the rider’s view of the racetrack.
