MecSoft Releases VisualXPORT 2014

Direct plug-in for Inventor and SolidWorks allows users to export parts in VisualMILL formatted files.

CAM software developer MecSoft has announced the release of VisualXPORT 2014 for Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks.

This direct plug-in allows users to export parts in VisualMILL formatted files. The company says this provides enhanced workflow for designers that work with Inventor and SolidWorks and also use VisualMILL software in for manufacturing.

For both Inventor and SolidWorks, users can export 2D and 3D sketches, solids with combined faces, separate faces and individual surfaces. Sketches can also be exported to NURBS services.

“MecSoft is an Inventor Certified CAM developer, and so we are very familiar with the unique needs of Inventor (and SolidWorks) users,” stated Uday Honnalagere, support manager for MecSoft. “VisualXPORT for Inventor (and SolidWorks)  was created as a direct result of the feedback received from our customers. They needed enhanced  export capabilities in Inventor (and Solidworks) beyond supporting STL, IGES and STEP formats while not having to give up  using our standalone CAD/CAM software, VisualCAD/CAM.”

VisualXPORT supports Inventor versions 2011 through 2014, and SolidWorks versions 2009 through 2013.
