Code Expert tool improves synchronization between spindles and turrets.

By DE Editors

Mastercam Mill-Turn streamlines the programming process on complex machines with intelligent job setups that are keyed to the exact machine in the shop, the company says. Utilizing intelligent work plane selection, users can select the spindle and turret they wish to utilize, and create toolpaths using Mastercam’s milling and lathe toolpaths.

Synchronization between spindles and turrets is accomplished through the Mastercam Code Expert interface. In Mastercam Code Expert, users are able to graphically synchronize multiple streams (upper and lower)  of code. Once synchronized, Machine Simulation can be accomplished with accurate visual feedback of the program running on the machine. Users can check for collisions between the tool, part, shank, fixturing, and machine components visually or through a reporting mechanism.

Other features include automated job setup, intelligent plane creation,  customized milling tools optimized for mill/turn machining, graphical synchronization.
