M-Files Inc. has announced the immediate availability of M-Files 8.0. The company says the latest version of M-Files delivers new features such as access via popular mobile devices, regulatory compliance support, reporting and analysis capabilities, automated permission management, and search functionality. As a result of collaboration between M-Files and Microsoft, M-Files Cloud Vault is now available on Windows Azure, Microsoft’s cloud platform.

M-Files Mobile Access enables access to documents stored in centralized document repositories. M-Files 8.0 also provides compliance and quality management systems, assisting organizations with administering documents and processes according to industry regulations and “Good Practice” quality guidelines (GxP). M-Files is designed to provide organizations with the tools to manage the documentation and processes necessary for compliance with ISO 9001, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and EU GMP Annex 11, required in pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing, clinical research organizations, biotechnology, biologics, food, and related industries.

M-Files 8.0 features new reporting and analysis capabilities that address a variety of data reporting and exporting needs associated with business documents and associated processes. M-Files Reporting will calculate and display statistical data associated with vault contents, analytics for decision support, and content from external sources such as data from CRM and ERP systems.

Other features include metadata-driven permissions that enable automatic modification of access rights based on changes to metadata, web publishing that supports collaboration by providing document access to non-M-Files users via the Internet, Autodesk AutoCAD 2012 and AutoCAD LT 2012 compatibility, TWAIN interface support, and new language support, including Czech and Bulgarian, for a total of 24 supported languages.
