Logopress and the company’s North American distributor and technical center, Accurate Die Design, have announced a new program that will extend its Logopress3 tool and die solutions to the education market. The company has released educational license packs that can be utilized in conjunction with SolidWorks in schools. They will also provide free training to qualified instructors from the U.S. and Canada.
The company’s Intelligent Animation command creates a visual representation of the die running just as it would in the press, including the strip lifting and advancing. The command is not only meant to be used at the end of the die design process, but can be used at any time during the design, the company says. This visual assistant also includes a Dynamic Interference Detection option that helps catch mistakes during the design process.
“Our goal is first and foremost to help better prepare die design students in die design, and secondly to prepare them for knowing how to use the software that they may very well be using in their careers,” said Ray Proeber, president of Accurate Die Design.
