Lattice Technology Inc. has announced the availability of the XVL Technical Illustration Suite and the XVL Technical Collaboration Suite.
These suites enable the use of existing 3D CAD assemblies to create technical illustrations, images and animations for use in technical documents, such as parts catalogs, service documentation, manufacturing instructions, and supplier communications.
Using XVL compression technology makes it possible to work with even large CAD assemblies.
Key features include:
- Open CAD and neutral format files directly, including CATIA V5, CATIA V4, Pro/ENGINEER, NX, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, JT, STEP, IGES and more.
- Create exploded views with automatic trace line creation, mBOM’s, sBOM’s, notes, labels, and dimensions.
- Publish raster graphics (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP), vector line art (SVG, CGM, EPS, DXF) and 3D interactive models (view with Free XVL Player).
- Author and publish process animations (step-by-step animated work instructions).
- Auto Update on design change.
