Dear Desktop Engineering Reader:
Gear like scanners, copiers and large-format printers tend to loiter around too long because they’re reliable. Since they keep chugging away, you ignore their missing modern features. You also miss out on the pizzazz of full-color, professional-looking documents that woo potential clients. If your document systems are eating up your productivity or you’ve balked at the cost of color printing, scanning and copying, take a look at what lies at the far end of today’s Check it Out link. It might be time to upgrade.
A year ago Canon Solutions America announced the Océ ColorWave 500, a mid-volume large-format printing, scanning and copying system for small offices, workgroups or for flexibility from a central print room. Capable of dealing with most any CAD or GIS document or color graphics job, the Océ ColorWave 500 is quiet and compact. It can deliver up to 225 D-size monochrome or 212 D-size color prints in an hour. Its toner doesn’t need drying time and isn’t dusty or smelly. The Océ ColorWave 500 has many interesting features like a tablet-like interface for walk-up users, a built-in media roll loading station and secure cloud connectivity. When you use the 10.4-in. touchscreen’s tablet-like interface, you can get live document previews, zoom in on details or check a document’s position.
The Océ ColorWave 500 can automatically select print modes, position images and determine the media roll for the job. It has this neat feature that automatically detects a document’s width and corrects for wrinkles and light colors when you’re copying or scanning something. As for media, you can load in two to four rolls of whatever fits your needs — bond, film, Tyvek, polypropylene, recycled paper etc. Printing and scanning resolution is 600 dpi.
So why upgrade now? Well, if you still have three machines, this is something to consider. Go to one that prints, copies and scans and that you can control over the cloud. More to the point, Canon Solutions America has reduced the Océ ColorWave 500’s price and for the next few weeks you might get a trade-in discount on a competitive system.
Reliable old technology that still works is still old and behind the technology curve. It’s eating your lunch and probably making you look dowdy too. Hit today’s Check it Out link and learn about the Océ ColorWave 500 large-format printing system. This is worth your time.
Thanks, Pal. – Lockwood
