Laird Thermal Systems Launches Advanced Engineering Tools with New Website

New site offers access to thermal management product selection and design support tools for engineers.

Laird Thermal, an end-to-end thermal management solution provider, has developed a resource for design engineers to specify, search and select the optimum thermoelectric module, thermoelectric assembly or liquid cooling system for their application. The website enables customers to quickly find their ideal thermal management solution, shorten product design cycles and maximize product or system performance. The website allows engineers to search and access information in more ways, including by product type, market/application, or by using the Thermal Wizard.

The Thermal Wizard tool employs proprietary application calculators to determine the optimal thermal management solutions at the thermoelectric module, thermoelectric assembly or liquid cooling system level. The Thermal Wizard enables thermal designers to input their known cooling requirement (Qc) and other criteria to identify appropriate thermal management solutions. If the cooling requirement is unknown, the Thermal Wizard can calculate the Qc based on the defined application: device cooling, enclosure cooling, air cooling or liquid cooling.

The new web resource provides quick access to interactive datasheets as well as datasheet PDFs, in-depth market and application information that links directly to corresponding product information, and expanded custom solution and services information.

“This new resource delivers information to engineers quickly and efficiently,” says Karine Brand, interim CEO at Laird Thermal Systems. “Selecting the right thermal solution for a particular application can be a long and difficult process for any design engineer, one that requires many technological and financial trade-offs. To speed-up and simplify this process, Laird Thermal Systems developed this website to make thermal decisions easier and more accurate.”
