Intel has announced that it will be adding Intel Xeon processors to its notebook PCs this fall. The E3-1500M v5 family is based on Skylake architecture, and brings high-precision computing horsepower to notebook systems, the company states. These processors support features such as error-correcting code memory in addition to hardware-assisted security, manageability and productivity from Intel vPro technology.
These systems with Xeon processors will also have Thunderbolt 3 and Intel plans to certify applications for CAE, engineering and digital content creation.
The goal of adding Skylake-based processors, according to Intel, is to provide a “perfect balance between power and mobility.”
