Intel Expands Product Line

Intel has expanded its portfolio by offering new Internet of Things, platform and data center technologies. The announcements were made at Computex 2015 in Taiwan.
For the Internet of Things, Intel has added to its Gateway product family with a new reference design that expands options for silicon, software and Core processor-based gateways. Operating systems for Gateway reference designs have been enhanced to include compatibility with Ubuntu Snappy Core and Canonical.
Computing experiences and platforms now include:
- Intel Unite, a business solution for easy and intuitive collaboration, the company states.
- Thunderbolt 3 for devices that use 4K video, single-cable docks with charging and external graphics.
- An LGA socketed desktop processor with integrated Iris Pro graphics, with 65 watt thermal design power.
- Fifth-generation Intel Core mobile processors that are ideal for medical, industrial and public works applications.
