INTEGRATED Engineering Software, a developer of hybrid simulation tools for design analysis, has released LORENTZ version 9.0. This release offers upgrades to the user interface, brings new features to the program and allows for future developments.

Available in 2D/RS (rotationally symmetric) and 3D packages, LORENTZ uses field solver technology to achieve simulation for applications requiring charged particle and beam analysis.

“INTEGRATED prides itself on listening to just what our customers’ need,” says Bruce Klimpke, technical director, “and from discussion we identified the areas where changes could bring the most benefits. With our trademark approach of offering the customer complete usability we have designed version 9.0 to be both practical and have a more logical flow pattern than the last version. This is the biggest overhaul of the program since version 6.0.”

Highlights of version 9.0 include:

  • Faster solving
  • Includes RK853
  • More intuitive workflow
  • Grouping of surfaces to make an emitter
  • More custom settings
  • Improved statistical features
