ICAM Technologies Corp. (ICAM) amended its original software development partnership agreement with Dassault Systèmes to implement ICAM Foundation inside the latest release of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
ICAM Foundation is a post-processor development software that allows 3DEXPERIENCE platform users to easily create, edit and manage unlimited two-axis lathe and three-axis mill post-processors supporting CNC machines and controllers on the market.
Available for the first 90 days for free, ICAM Foundation includes 60 ready-to-use post-processors, in both metric and imperial formats. These post-processors can be edited to add specific machine tool functions such as spindle speed, machine feed rate, coolant, tool change events, program header preference, etc.
Foundation also includes “art-to-part” examples allowing programmers to easily test post-processors and CNC programs, before running them on a CNC machine. ICAM Foundation is backed by online comprehensive documentation and video tutorials. Post-processors and technical knowledge can also be shared here, an ICAM Foundation forum giving greater support to 3DEXPERIENCE platform users.
“We are pleased to have ICAM Foundation included in the delivery of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.” Says John Nassr, president of ICAM Technologies. “Foundation allows users to easily create, modify and test two and three axis post-processors and is a great gateway to more advanced multi-axis post-processing and machine simulation software offered by ICAM.
