Hoffmann + Krippner Inc., a provider of input solutions and sensors, has released new options for the Internet of Things (IoT) and M2M (machine to machine) applications. These devices can be used for process automation, position tracking and real-time supply chain support.
The SensoInk, according to the company, is an innovative, reliable and accurate sensing solution based on printed polymer pastes. It is a 5V analog solution and can be printed as potentiometers, resisters, switches or keyboard contacts on circuit boards. There are also no negative electromagnetic effects with SensoInk.
Also new from Hoffmann + Krippner are Sensofoil thin-film membrane potentiometers. They offer a flat design of 0.5 to 1.0 mm, a repeat accuracy of 1 to 10µmm and can achieve redundancy and problem-free device integration.
“To detect how the state of the internet-connected ‘thing’ changes, an electronic evaluation of the initial state must be conducted,” says Jens Kautzor, CEO of Hoffmann + Krippner, Inc. “With our sensors you can very affordably and accurately measure changes, detect positions, or count objects.”
