GreenPeak Technologies has launched its new GP691 ZigBee communication controller chip and GPM6000 integrated ZigBee Modules for Smart Home and Internet of Things (IoT) networks and devices.
The GP691 communication controller provides IEEE Standard 802.15.4-compliant spectrum data and is able to run ZigBee applications, such as ZHA and ZLL. It features a radio transceiver, a real-time medium access control processor, micro-controller, security engine, 16KB RAM and 248KB flash memory.
The ZigBee 3.0 module is capable of a wide variety of home, automation, smart energy and light link applications. It can also support large networks made of many devices and ensure coverage over multiple floors.
Both devices offer low energy consumption, the company states.
“The Internet of Things will transform everything – making our lives more comfortable and more secure. In the future, the next generations will look at us and wonder how we ever survived our ‘dumb’ homes,” says Cees Links, CEO of GreenPeak. “New devices, new technologies, new ways of connecting devices to each other and to people, all require wireless solutions that are reliable, robust and simple to use. GreenPeak and our ecosystem partners are dedicated to making the Smart Home and IoT as simple, reliable and ubiquitous as Wi-Fi is today.”
