GKS Inspection Services (Detroit, MI), a provider of dimensional measurement, 3D laser scanning, and terrestrial scanning services, seeks to acquire small engineering and metrology service bureaus around the U.S. to expand its range of coverage from coast to coast. Currently GKS has U.S. offices in Detroit, Minneapolis, and Seattle. Its international locations include India, Korea, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the Netherlands.
GKS’s Employee-Partner Program targets self-employed engineers and metrologists who already provide dimensional inspection, laser scanning, terrestrial scanning, or design engineering services to an existing customer base. The program is structured so that self-employed technical experts can recoup their investments by selling their business to GKS.
By offloading marketing and business management issues, Employee-Partners can focus on providing technical services, thus increasing their income potential. The size and financial strength of GKS enable the independent employees to compete at a much higher level than they could as stand-alone service companies. GKS manages engineering operations in India that create surface models from laser scan point clouds. Partners can also tap into equipment and expertise in other GKS offices, as needed.
