Geometric Releases CAMWorks Virtual Machine

Verify true G-code and check machine settings in a virtual environment.

Geometric released its CAMWorks Virtual Machine along with the latest version of its programming solution, CAMWorks 2014, at DIEMOULD INDIA 2014 this week.

CAMWorks Virtual Machine enables users to verify the true G-code, not only the CL data, and save shop floor time by checking on complex machine settings, sub-programs, canned cycles and work offsets in a virtual environment. This allows the user to preview the entire machining process and make any necessary changes or adjustments before the part goes to the shop floor, the company says. In addition, it is integrated completely with CAMWorks.

“Our industry leading technology enables customers to significantly save programming time. Today, the die and mould industry is operating in an extremely competitive environment,” said Sameer Kondejkar, the head of geometry technology solutions at Geometric. “By covering the entire value chain with reduced programming time, reduced setup time and reduced machining time, we help our customers stay ahead of the curve.”
