Eurocom debuts a new 17.3-in., single-GPU laptop system that is CPU, graphics processing unit (GPU) and user-upgradable. The Eurocom Sky X7C Mobile Supercomputer supports three different classes of GPUs, including RTX 2080, GTX 1080 and Quadro P5000, as well two generations of Intel LGA-1151 socket CPUs, including the i9-9900K and 8700K/8086K processors.
The Eurocom Sky X7C features a modular CPU design, where the system uses an LGA1151 socket-based processor powered by the Intel Z370 chipset. As a result, this technology enables users to swap out and upgrade the X7C’s processor and other key parts without having to buy an entirely new system.
The Sky X7C can support up to an eight cores/16 thread processor such as the i9 9900K CPU. In display options, users have a selection of 17.3- in. LCD displays to choose from, from a Full-HD 60hz 1920x1080 60hz display, up to an Ultra-HD 60hz 3840x2160 4K display capable of covering 100% of the Adobe sRGB color. Eurocom gives users the option to upgrade or modify their LCD panel should they require to change or modify this part of their laptops.
Continuing with this standard of customizability and upgradability, the Sky X7C’s RAM is configurable with 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB of DDR4 RAM via a total of four memory slots that are swappable, encouraging users to make modifications as they see fit or as their needs change, the company reports.
Rounding out the key modular components of the laptop, the Sky X7C supports up to 20 TB of storage through a total of four physical drives, using a combination of M.2 and SATA3 slots. The amount of physical drives allows the system to be configured to different RAID levels such as RAID 0/1/5/10.
To address heat, the system is equipped with high-quality copper heat sinks and fans covering the CPU and GPU, keeping the system cool even under rigorous use, according to Eurocom.
The Sky X7C offers an array of security features and is eligible for Eurocom’s Anti-Spying Offline Permanent Disconnect Option, for users seeking to remove parts of the laptop such as the webcam and Bluetooth for an added layer of security. It also has an easy-to-remove battery and ports and other features, making it an ideal system for any high-performance software or applications.
The Eurocom Sky X7C offers performance and attributes in compact form factor capable of delivering a creative experience and productivity across a variety of professional programs and applications.
