EPLAN and Mitsubishi Electrical Europe have partnered through the e-F@ctroy Alliance to create further integration between electrical engineering and PLC (power line communication) programming. The developmental departments at both companies are working together to achieve the optimal integration.
The organizations have created a combined platform that combines EPLAN and GX Works2, a programming software for PLCs. This unified interface, a company press release states, enables reductions in developmental costs of more than 50% for joint customers. The automatic data exchange between the two platforms also prevents costly inquiries, which leads to reductions in developmental times for plants and systems.
“We are pleased to be a member of Mitsubishi Electric’s partner network. Our global customers benefit from the E-CAD and PLC interface, and the high component availability at the EPLAN Data Portal,” says Maximilian Brandl, president, EPLAN. “Furthermore, this cooperation with Mitsubishi Electric Europe will strengthen our new market presence in Japan.”
